Cimarrón - Ethnoambient

Columbia |

From the vast plains of the famous Orinoco river that on one of it's flows creates a border between Colombia and Venezuela comes joropo, a musical style born as a mixture of indigenous, African and European influences. At the ancient Gradina in Solin we will be introduced to joropo via members of Cimarrón whose founder Carlos Rojas Hernández has been enjoying the inspiration of his environment for twenty years. Singing and dancing with the sounds of harph, bandola, cuatra, bass, cajon and maracas will offer a unique experience of life in Los Llanos del Orinoco.
